Presentation of the Fedom Regional Talent Centers Program
Santo Domingo – The Dominican Football Federation (FDF) presented this Monday, in a press conference held in its Press Room, the Regional Talent Centers (CRT) program. The event was coordinated by the Development Directorate of the federative entity. Carlos Ramírez, director of development of the FDF, led the event. He was accompanied by Betzaida Ubri, coordinator of women’s national teams, and Marcelo Neveleff, coordinator of men’s national teams. The Regional Talent Centers CRT-RD are part of FIFA’s TDS (Talent Development Scheme) Program. Their main objective is to identify, train, and develop the country’s young talents in the North and South regions. The aim is to ensure comprehensive preparation under international standards, allowing their integration into national teams and, eventually, their participation in professional football, both locally and internationally. The program includes tryouts that will take place between December 2025 and January 2026. Subsequently, talent identification will proceed between February and March 2026. The third stage will consist of microcycles that will be developed from April to November 2026.This program’s main objective is to develop talents in the country, but it is not competitive. The idea is that the talents can be worked on in two large regions, the North and the South.
Carlos Ramírez
The first women’s tryouts will be held from December 7th and the intention is to provide them with tools to empower them based on a work pattern that will be coordinated by our work team.
Betzaida Ubri
It was emphasized that the goal is to meet the deadlines and guidelines established by FIFA. This will allow the FDF to optimize the program and raise the level of Dominican football. The reality of this project is that those who have to carry it out are the coaches of each region and we will help them with advice or tutoring to ensure that the guidelines are followed. The idea is to get the most out of this program.
