EuroLeague: Games in Israel to resume on December 1st after ceasefire
Barcelona – The EuroLeague Basketball has announced this Tuesday that the matches in Israel will officially resume starting December 1, 2025.
This decision was made after a meeting of the member clubs, where the situation in Gaza and recent progress in ceasefire and peace initiatives in the region were evaluated.
Since October 2023, Israeli teams participating in the Euroleague and Eurocup played their home games at neutral venues for security reasons.
Two years later, the teams will be able to play again in front of their fans in their respective pavilions.
We will closely monitor the evolution of events, maintaining constant communication with local and international authorities, visiting teams, and relevant entities.
In a statement, the organization emphasized that until the date of resumption, constant vigilance will be maintained over the situation.
The clubs that own the competition expressed that the decision is made with “optimism and hope”.
