Estrellas Orientales Announce Coaching Staff for the 2025-2026 Season
SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS – The Estrellas Orientales have revealed their coaching staff for the upcoming 2025-2026 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League. The team, under the direction of Fernando Tatis, will have an experienced and renewed group in search of the championship.The Coaching Staff
The coaching staff that will accompany Tatis includes Wilton Veras as bench coach and Ronald Ramírez as assistant manager. In the pitching area, Manny García will assume the role of head coach, with Alexis Candelario as assistant. Josué Pérez and Land Carrero will be the batting coaches.
In addition, the coaching staff is completed by Tyler Mark as bullpen coach, Carlos Paulino as catching instructor, Claudio Almonte as first base and outfield coach, Elvis Peña as third base and infield coach, Miguel Bernard as baserunning coach, Ángel Rosario as game planning and quality control coach, and Daniel Cabrera as coach-mentor.Returns and New Hires
Manny García, who also serves as special assistant to general manager Ángel Ovalles, returns as pitching coach, a role he previously held with the team, including the 2018-2019 season, when the Estrellas won the championship. García was also on the team in the 2019-2020 season and was general manager in the 2023-2024 season.
Wilton Veras, with previous experience as the team’s coach, returns as the main assistant to manager Tatis.
Others who are returning are Pérez, Candelario, Bernard, Peña and Mark, the latter was with the club during the 2023-2024 season.
Carlos Paulino, recognized for his outstanding defense as a catcher in the league, joins the coaching staff as a catchers coach after his retirement as an active player, having played until last season with the Águilas Cibaeñas.
Daniel Cabrera, former star pitcher for the Estrellas, returns to the league as a coach-mentor, contributing his experience and knowledge to the players.
