Leones del Escogido take the lead in the Final Series with victory over the Toros
La Romana. The Leones del Escogido extended their dominance in the Final Series by defeating the Toros del Este with a score of 7-4 at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium. With this victory, the Lions take a 2-0 lead in the fight for the championship. The Lions’ offensive was led by Yamaico Navarro and Junior Lake, who were decisive in the outcome of the game. Navarro drove in three runs, while Lake hit a home run in the ninth inning, adding two more runs to the scoreboard. The game was defined early on, taking advantage of the lack of control of the Toros’ starting pitcher, Nabil Crismatt, who couldn’t keep up the pace.
