Eddie Rosario Strengthens Toros del Este for the Final Stage

The Toros del Este are preparing for the crucial phase of the tournament with the incorporation of the experienced Major League outfielder, Eddie Rosario. This addition seeks to strengthen both the offense and the experience of the La Romana team, in preparation for the Final Series. Rosario, 34 years old, has a distinguished career in professional baseball, accumulating 11 seasons in the Major Leagues. During his career, he has defended the colors of the Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Guardians, Washington Nationals, and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Puerto Rican player has proven his worth in the postseason, including an outstanding performance in the 2021 World Series.

He’s a high-level player with World Series experience who should make an impact for us at this stage of the championship, as he strengthens both the offense and the outfield.

Jesús Mejía, general manager of the Toros del Este
His best season in MLB was in 2019, where he hit 32 home runs, drove in 109 runs, and batted .276 with the Minnesota Twins. Recently, Rosario participated in the Puerto Rico winter league with the Indios de Mayagüez, recording a home run, nine doubles and 11 RBIs in 38 games, demonstrating his good form. Rosario arrives to cover the position left by Gilberto Celestino, who is in the process of recovery due to an ankle injury. The new reinforcement is expected to join the team this Saturday and debut during the weekend, when the Toros visit the Gigantes del Cibao at the Julián Javier Stadium.
