In a vibrant day of the qualifiers, Ecuador and Brazil sealed their qualification to the next World Cup, leaving behind Chile, who suffered a hard blow and a change of coach. Argentina, for its part, although leader, experienced a scare against Colombia.
With 25 points each, Ecuador and Brazil secured their presence in the World Cup with six matchdays to go. Chile, on the other hand, is in the last position with 10 points, being out of the competition.
