SANTO DOMINGO – The game scheduled for today between the Águilas Cibaeñas and the Leones del Escogido in Santo Domingo has been postponed.
The match was rescheduled for Sunday the 18th at the same location, starting at 4:00 p.m.
The suspension occurred due to adverse weather conditions.
A first rain, which fell before the scheduled start time of the game, forced a delay in the start, while the stadium staff worked to prepare the field.
Initially, it was attempted to start at 5:30 in the afternoon. However, a second downpour forced the field to be covered again.
After a second inspection by the refereeing body at 6:45 PM, it was determined that the necessary conditions to play did not exist, which led to the definitive suspension of the match.
