Luka Dončić leads the Lakers in victory over the Knicks
Los Angeles – Luka Dončić dazzled with an outstanding performance of 35 points, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a resounding 110-97 victory over the New York Knicks at the Crypto.com Arena.
In the absence of LeBron James, who did not participate due to elbow discomfort, Dončić took on the offensive leadership of the team. The Slovenian point guard demonstrated his worth by making 11 of 25 field goals, including five three-pointers, complementing his performance with eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Austin Reaves, Lakers guard, was a key offensive support, scoring 25 points, five rebounds and four assists.
With this triumph, the Lakers improved their record to 39-25, tying the Denver Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokić, in fifth place in the Western Conference.
The Los Angeles team dominated the match from the start, always maintaining the lead on the scoreboard and reaching a maximum difference of 23 points.
From the Knicks, the most outstanding player was Karl-Anthony Towns, who achieved a double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds. However, his performance from the three-point line was irregular, missing several attempts before scoring a three-pointer in the final minutes of the game.
Jalen Brunson scored 24 points for New York, while Mikal Bridges had a less productive night, failing to score any points after missing all his shots.
Despite the loss, the Knicks remain in third place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 45-21.
