Víctor Vialet conquers gold and silver in international martial arts tournament in the Philippines

Dominican athlete Víctor Vialet shone in the international Filipino martial arts tournament, held in Cebu from August 6 to 10, by obtaining the gold medal in the double stick modality and the silver medal in single stick. This event, which brought together the best exponents of Eskrima Kali Arnis, featured the participation of competitors from various nationalities, including England, Mexico, United States, Australia, China, and the Philippines, establishing itself as a world-renowned competition. Vialet’s performance was outstanding, competing against high-level athletes and demonstrating his skill in this discipline. The championship also highlighted the performance of Mexican Eduardo Palomares, four-time world champion, who won two gold medals in the double baton and single baton categories. Palomares, in addition to competing, provided technical support and mentoring to Vialet, sharing his experience and strategies.

This achievement is the result of months of preparation and sacrifice. Competing, winning, and positioning the Dominican Republic in the cradle of EsKrima is an indescribable honor.
