DR Fine-Tunes Details for the World Baseball Classic
A few days before the start of the World Baseball Classic, the Dominican Republic national team is preparing for the tournament with a program of activities that begins this weekend. The Dominican team will begin its concentration on Saturday in a Miami hotel, where players, coaches, and technical staff will meet after fulfilling their commitments in Major League Baseball. The first joint practice is scheduled for Sunday, March 1st at LoanDepot Park, the venue where the Dominican team will debut in the tournament. This will be the first formal training with most of the roster gathered, marking the beginning of the final preparation phase. On Monday morning, the entire delegation will travel together to Santo Domingo, complying with a tournament regulation that requires players, coaches, and technical staff to travel on the same flight. This rule also applies to internal travel during the concentration, so all team members must use the official transportation assigned.
