Dominican Republic Debuts at 2025 Softball World Cup: Will Face Japan, USA, and Australia

Santo Domingo – The Dominican men’s softball team is preparing for a crucial challenge in the 2025 World Cup, organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) in Canada. The Dominican team, currently in eleventh position in the WBSC world ranking, will debut against Japan on Tuesday, July 8, at Prime Ministers Park, the main venue of the event in Prince Albert.

A Competitive Group

According to Garibaldy Bautista, president of the Dominican Softball Federation, the Dominican Republic is in Group B, along with high-caliber teams.

We are part of group-B, along with Australia, No. 2 in the World Ranking of the discipline; Japan, No. 3; and the United States.

  • Tuesday 8: Dominican Republic vs. Japan
  • Wednesday 9: Dominican Republic vs. Australia
  • Thursday 10: Dominican Republic vs. United States
The matches for the classification and the matches to define the final positions of the tournament will be played on July 12th and 13th.
