Domen Prevc Crowned Olympic Champion in Ski Jumping
Predazzo, Italy – Slovenian Domen Prevc, meeting expectations, won the gold medal in the individual large hill ski jumping event at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, held this Saturday in Predazzo.
Prevc, 26 years old and current World Cup leader, demonstrated his superiority in the final. After placing second in the first round, he made an impressive jump of 141.5 meters in the second round, accumulating a total of 301.8 points to secure the victory.
Japanese Ren Nikaido won the silver medal with 295.0 points, while Polish Kacper Tomasiak took the bronze with 291.2 units.
This individual triumph represents Prevc’s first Olympic gold in an individual event at these Games, adding to the gold previously obtained in the mixed team event alongside his sister Nika.
Domen Prevc’s outstanding performance in Predazzo solidifies his position as one of the leading figures in the world of ski jumping, and strengthens medal expectations for his country in the remainder of the competition.
