Rafael Devers Shines: Player of the Week in the National League

Santo Domingo – Dominican third baseman Rafael Devers continues to demonstrate his power with the bat, being recognized as the Player of the Week in the National League. Along with him, Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies and Cody Bellinger of the Yankees also received distinctions in their respective leagues.

The recognition covered the week of August 25 to 31, 2025, a period where Devers showed exceptional performance.

During those six games, Devers batted .478, connecting 11 hits in 23 at-bats. His production included three home runs, 10 RBIs, two doubles, four walks, and nine runs scored.

This outstanding offensive performance positioned him as the leader in slugging and OPS (1.513) in the Major Leagues. In addition, he tied for the lead in total bases (22) and RBIs.

The third baseman, 28 years old and a three-time All-Star, sealed the week with a three-hit game and a home run against Baltimore, adding his 29th home run of the season.

As for the other award winners, Schwarber stood out for hitting four home runs in a single game, accumulating 10 RBIs during the week. Bellinger, for his part, batted .444, with two home runs, eight RBIs, and three doubles, being the most outstanding in the American League.
