Santo Domingo – The Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner (DCNB) continues its work to positively impact young baseball players throughout the country. More than 2,000 children and adolescents from various leagues have participated in cycles of talks and educational orientations, an effort that combines sports development with mental and educational strengthening. This initiative, which is part of the educational objectives of the DCNB, responds to a proposal by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader. The vision is clear: progress in baseball must go hand in hand with the education and mental well-being of young athletes. Last weekend, the DCNB, led by former major leaguer Junior Noboa and his team of psychologists, brought their message to more than 200 children of different ages, belonging to the Mendoza, Anthony, Pozo Academies and Tony Mendoza Leagues in Santo Domingo Este. The day included on-field training and educational sessions at the Santa María Madre de Dios parish.
Diogenes De la Cruz, assistant to the Director of the DCNB, was in charge of the opening remarks. He urged the young people to stay focused, combining their development in baseball with a solid educational and mental training. Daniel Ramírez, psychologist, highlighted key factors for success, such as dedication, effort, values, consistency, and motivation. Esmeily Alcántara, also a member of the DCNB, emphasized the importance of education to broaden opportunities in life. Erickson Marte was also part of the DCNB work team.We are here as part of our educational program of the National Baseball Commissioner’s Directorate, led by Junior Noboa, which we have been implementing throughout the national territory with these educational and motivational messages to help you so that in the future you can fulfill your dreams in baseball, but being good men for our society.
