Detroit Tigers and DCNB Donate Sports Equipment to School in La Zurza
The National Baseball Commissioner’s Office (DCNB), along with the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball, carried out an important donation of sports equipment to the Profesora Aida Cartagena Portalatín School, located in the La Zurza sector. More than a hundred students from the educational center benefited from this initiative, receiving bats, baseballs, catcher’s equipment, basketballs, and other sports equipment. During the event, Major League players Framber Valdez, Wenceel Pérez, and Thayron Liranzo shared with the students, motivating them to combine sports with education.The activity was attended by Christopher Ilitch, owner of the Detroit Tigers, and other team executives. In representation of the national baseball commissioner, Junior Noboa, was Diógenes De la Cruz, in charge of the Technical Directorate of the DCNB, who highlighted the importance of these actions for the development of Dominican children.School is very important, education is the main thing in your life before anything else.
