Stephen Curry Misses the 2026 All-Star Game Due to Injury
San Francisco – The renowned point guard Stephen Curry will not be present at the NBA All-Star Game in 2026. The decision was made due to persistent discomfort in his right knee, according to Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
Curry, who has been dealing with various injuries that have prevented him from playing in 15 games during the current season, will also miss the team’s upcoming games before the All-Star break. The goal is for him to fully recover and be able to rejoin the team after the break.
The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player had to leave the January 30 game against the Detroit Pistons due to knee pain, an ailment that, according to Kerr, he had been feeling for days. After the incident, he underwent an MRI to assess the situation.
The Golden State Warriors are hoping to have their star player for the first game after the break, scheduled for February 19 against the Boston Celtics at the Chase Center.
Curry’s absence adds to the loss of his teammate Jimmy Butler, who underwent surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee, which will keep him out for the season.
Despite this setback, the organization is confident that Curry can regain his competitive level once the All-Star break is over, at a crucial moment in the regular season.
