Stephen Curry Misses the 2026 All-Star Game Due to Injury

The renowned point guard Stephen Curry will not be present at the 2026 NBA All-Star Game due to persistent discomfort in his right knee, according to an announcement by Steve Kerr, coach of the Golden State Warriors. Curry, who has already been absent in 15 games this season due to various injuries, will also not play in the upcoming matches before the All-Star break. The goal is for him to recover completely and be able to rejoin the team after the break. The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player had to leave the game against the Detroit Pistons on January 30 due to knee pain, a discomfort that, according to Kerr, he had been feeling days before. An MRI was performed to assess the situation. Golden State expects to have its star for the first game after the break, scheduled for February 19 against the Boston Celtics at the Chase Center. Curry’s absence adds to that of Jimmy Butler, who underwent surgery on his right ACL, preventing him from playing this season. Despite this challenge, the organization is confident that Curry can regain his competitive level after the All-Star break, at a crucial moment in the regular season.
