Cuba defeats Aruba in the U15 Premundial

Santo Domingo Este – In the continuation of the U15 Pre-World Baseball Tournament, held at the IPL Complex in Santo Domingo Este, the Cuban team defeated Aruba with a score of 8-5, improving their record to (1-2), while Aruba registers (0-3).

The event, endorsed by the World Baseball and Softball Confederation, is organized by the Dominican Baseball Federation.

The Cuban team started strong, scoring runs in the first inning. Cristopher García, after receiving a walk, and Cristian Aguilera, driven in by a single from José Muñiz to left field, put Cuba up 2-0 after seven batters.

Cuba continued its offensive, adding three more runs with three hits and a walk, consolidating its dominance in the game.

Cuban pitcher Joseph Arias controlled Aruba’s offense, which scored its first run in the fourth inning and added two more in the sixth, closing the score (6-3).

In the bottom of the sixth, Cuba scored two additional runs. Aruba tried to react in the seventh, adding two runs, but it wasn’t enough.

Arias kept Aruba scoreless, limiting their offense to one walk and three hits until the sixth inning, facing the first 19 batters.

Cuba connected 9 unstoppable hits, received six walks and didn’t strike out any batter.

Aruba recorded five strikeouts, three walks, and 7 hits.
