Carlos Hoyo and Manuel Luna to lead the Corrie Golf Cup

The Organizing Committee of the Corrie Golf Cup revealed the names of the captains for the next edition of the tournament. Carlos Hoyo and Manuel Luna will be in charge of leading the teams from the National District and the interior of the country, respectively. The Corrie Cup, a highly significant event in the Dominican golf world, will take place from November 7th to 9th at the prestigious Punta Espada Golf Course, located in Cap Cana. This exciting tournament will pit the 12 best golf players from the capital against the 12 best golfers from the interior of the country. The official announcement was made through the event’s Instagram account, where it was detailed that the platform will be the main means of introducing the players who will make up each team.

So far, each team has six qualified players, who chose their respective captains.

The interior team, led by Manuel Luna, has already confirmed professionals Julio Santos and Robert Birtel, along with amateurs Rhadames Peña, Marco Polanco, Rodrigo Huertas and Taylor Kuehn. For their part, the National District team, under the captaincy of Carlos Hoyo, will have professionals Juan José Guerra and Willy Pumarol Jr., and amateurs Enrique Valverde Jr., Juan Cayro Delgado, Peter Garrido and Waldo Aguasvivas. Both captains will be responsible for selecting six additional players to complete their teams. The deadline for submitting these selections to the Corrie Cup Organizing Committee is October 8. The team from the National District is the current champion of the Corrie Cup.
