All Consuelo Stars Crowned Champion in San Pedro de Macorís
The Todos Estrellas club of Consuelo won the victory in the 43rd Superior Basketball Tournament of San Pedro de Macorís (TBS-SPM 2025), after defeating the Titanes de Miramar with a score of 79-74. This triumph gave them their ninth crown and the BanReservas Cup.
The final series, played to the best of five games, culminated with a score of 3-1 in favor of All Stars. The matches were held at the Rolando Ramírez sports center.
This championship ends a 15-year title drought for the Consuelo team. Their first three championships were consecutive, achieved in 1997, 1998, and 1999, under the direction of José Branche.
Coach Rubén Abreu led the team on this occasion, raising the BanReservas Cup alongside Pastor Fidel Castillo, president of the club. The celebration included players, technical staff, and directors.
Daylin Thomas was recognized as the Most Valuable Player, with 19 points and six rebounds. Dresly Richardson contributed 16 points and five rebounds, while Luis Feliz (La Mueca) contributed 13 points, four rebounds, and six assists.
On the opposing team, Kevin Pérez scored 26 points, and Edison Montilla contributed 19 points and seven rebounds.
The BanReservas Cup was presented by Fausto Paulino, Pedro Vázquez, Carlos Dijol, and Provincial Governor Yovanis Baltazar. The tournament was dedicated to Ambioris Tejada and In Memoriam to Ramón Pérez Tolentino.
Consuelo had an outstanding performance in the tournament, with an overall record of 10-1. Her only defeat was against Miramar in the second final game.
