COD Inaugurates Hall of Fame: Tribute to Dominican Olympic Leaders and IOC

SANTO DOMINGO. The Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) has announced the official opening of a Hall of Honor, a space dedicated to honoring key figures in the organization’s history.

Tribute to Olympic Leaders

The gallery is dedicated to the former presidents and general secretaries of the COD, as well as the presidents of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The inauguration event will take place this Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Juan Ulises García Saleta Hall of the COD. This initiative is part of the organization’s commitment to the preservation of historical memory and the promotion of the Olympic legacy. The event, organized by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COD), will bring together prominent national sports authorities, representatives of the Olympic movement, and personalities from the institutional sphere. The main objective of the gallery is to pay tribute to the figures who have been fundamental to the development of Olympic sport in the Dominican Republic and internationally. The space will exhibit photographs of the presidents and secretaries of the COD, as well as the presidents of the IOC, offering a look at the trajectory of those who have led the Olympic movement.

It is a deserved recognition to men and women who, with their leadership, have contributed to the strengthening of sport in our country and have represented the Olympic values with integrity and vision
