Leones del Escogido Announce Starting Rotation for the Week

The leader of the national and Caribbean champions, Alex Cintrón, has revealed the starting rotation that Leones del Escogido will use for the first three games of the week. The action will begin this Monday with Lael Lockhart on the mound, facing the Toros del Este at the Francisco A. Micheli stadium. This will be the third season opener for Lockhart, who is coming off a standout performance on November 11th, where he pitched 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing only five hits, without conceding walks and striking out three batters against the Tigres del Licey at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium. On Wednesday, at the Quisqueya stadium, the turn will be for Kenny Hernández, who will open the seventh matchup of the season between Leones and Tigres, with the “City Champ” series tied 3-3. The Panamanian lefty has a 1-1 record, with a 1.80 ERA in 5.0 innings, including four strikeouts, and his opponents are batting just .211. The Lions start the week with an 8-11 record, only half a game behind the Tigers (8-10), who occupy the third position, and a game and a half behind the Toros del Este (9-9), located in second place.
