Baseball Clinics for Kids: An Initiative by FEDOBE, National Selection and MLB

The Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOBE), along with the board of directors of the National Team that will compete in the 2026 World Baseball Classic and Major League Baseball (MLB), have announced an ambitious program of baseball clinics aimed at children. This initiative seeks to generate a positive impact on the community and leave a lasting sporting legacy. These sessions are designed for children between 8 and 10 years old. They will feature the participation of outstanding Major League players, coaches, and members of the Dominican team’s technical staff. Participants will have the opportunity to learn firsthand experiences, knowledge, and fundamentals of the game in a formative and motivational environment. The program will be developed during the month of January and will benefit approximately 990 children from different regions of the country. The confirmed dates and locations are as follows:
  • Friday, January 9: Baní Municipal Stadium (South Region).
  • Friday, January 16: Tetelo Vargas Stadium in San Pedro de Macorís (East Region).
  • Friday, January 24: Santiago (Cibao Region).
  • Wednesday, January 29: Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium (National District and Santo Domingo province).
These clinics are part of the agenda of activities prior to the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which also includes preparation games for the Dominican team against the Detroit Tigers on March 3rd and 4th, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, as well as integration meetings and other national outreach initiatives.
