Liga Centro y Comercio in Motion Advances in Rubén Pimentel Tournament

Santo Domingo – The excitement continues in the XXXV Rubén Pimentel tournament, organized by the National District Softball Association (Asadina). In the last day of the Junior Superior category, the teams of Liga Centro and Comercio en Marcha secured their place in the finals, demonstrating a solid and competitive performance. In the first game of the day, Liga Centro defeated Villa Juana-B with a score of 7-3. The team, driven by eight hits and an outstanding pitching performance, secured their place in the South Division final, where they will face Adovenprofar-A. Carlos Matos was the winning pitcher, while Alberto Núñez took the loss.

Mr. Apolinar Durán Brito, president of Asadina, informed that the winners of each division will face each other in a best-of-five games series (3-2) for the grand Confraternidad 2025 cup. If necessary, two matches will be played on Wednesday, and a third on Thursday.

“It has been an exciting tournament, where each team has had the opportunity to share and compete, where all the teams had ample opportunity to reach the final, due to the innovations to have a greater opportunity to get together as a family,” indicated Durán.
