Jalisco 2026: Inauguration with a Taste of Baseball and Patriotism
Zapopan, Jalisco – The Caribbean Series Jalisco 2026 kicked off with an opening ceremony that combined patriotic fervor and a passion for baseball. The Pan American Stadium was the setting where authorities and fans came together to celebrate the start of this tournament that brings together the best teams in the Caribbean. The event began with an emotional display of the Mexican flag, carried by members of the Armed Forces. The music band of the Fifth Military Region performed honors to the national flag, followed by the anthems of Mexico and the Dominican Republic, as well as the anthem of the Caribbean Baseball Confederation.Subsequently, former MLB player Sergio Romo had the honor of throwing the first pitch. An artistic spectacle closed the ceremony, preparing the ground for the first match between the Charros de Jalisco and the Leones del Escogido. The Caribbean Series Jalisco 2026 features the participation of five teams:The anthem of the Caribbean Baseball Confederation was composed by Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, president of the aforementioned organization.
