Canó Returns to New York for Epic Clash Between Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico
Santo Domingo – The iconic Robinson Canó will step onto Citi Field in New York again, marking a special moment in his career. The New York Mets have confirmed that Canó will be honored during an exciting match between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. This event, scheduled for Saturday, November 15th, promises to be a celebration of Cano’s legacy and a new edition of the Caribbean baseball classic. In recognition of his outstanding career, all players of the Dominican selection will wear the number 24, the jersey number that has accompanied Canó throughout his successful career.Canó left an indelible mark on Major League Baseball, establishing himself as an idol in the Big Apple. His impressive statistics with the Yankees, including 204 home runs between 2005 and 2013, position him among the best in the franchise, surpassing legendary figures. His .309 batting average puts him in the historical top 10 of the Yankees. This clash between two world baseball powers will replace the traditional All-Star Game of the Dominican and Puerto Rican leagues.
