Santo Domingo, RD. – The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) continues to strengthen its national team with a view to the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The participation of Junior Caminero, a young star who will fulfill his dream of representing the Dominican Republic in this prestigious event, has been confirmed.

Caminero, recognized as one of the most promising prospects in the Major Leagues, joins the Dominican team. This incorporation is key, as it combines youth, talent, and experience, which consolidates the team as one of the favorites of the tournament.

In addition to Caminero, the Federation announced the integration of pitchers Albert Abreu, Edwin Uceta, and Huáscar Brazobán. Shortstop Jeremy Peña also joins, who will repeat his participation with the national team, after his outstanding performance in the 2023 edition.

The inclusion of these players demonstrates the commitment of the Dominican Baseball Federation to build a competitive and balanced team. The aim is to have depth in all areas, which is crucial in a short-format tournament where every detail can be decisive.
