SANTO DOMINGO, RD – Los Caminantes de Los Alcarrizos continue their winning streak in the superior basketball tournament of Santo Domingo province, achieving their third consecutive victory by defeating the Loros Calientes with a score of 91-84.
This triumph consolidates their position at the top of group B, demonstrating a solid performance on the court.
Court Domination
The match, which took place in the sports center of the Calero club in Villa Duarte, was a display of talent and strategy by both teams. Luis Manuel López led the offense of Los Alcarrizos with 32 points, followed by Anderson Mirambeaux with 23 points and nine rebounds. Michael Moya contributed 14 points and nine rebounds, while Francisco Mota contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
On the side of the Loros Calientes, Richard Mejía stood out with 28 points, and Luis Martínez achieved a double-double with 22 baskets and 10 rebounds. Josué Salazar, in his debut, added 15 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Calero Leads Group A
In another exciting match, the Calero club defeated the Trenes with a score of 82-77, solidifying their leadership in group A. Jeison Rivera scored 25 points and Ronald García contributed 20. Anferni Acevedo contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the winning team.
Kelvin Furcal led the Trenes with 22 points, while Miguel Carmona and Randy Bautista scored 17 points each, both with nine rebounds. Juan Santana also had an outstanding performance with 11 points.
The tournament features the participation of the Caminantes de Los Alcarrizos, the Trenes de Santo Domingo Norte, the Loros Calientes de Santo Domingo Este, Leñeros de Los Mina, Calero de Villa Duarte and Caobas City de Santo Domingo Oeste.
The Organizing Committee of TBS Santo Domingo 2026 is headed by Ángel De la Cruz, with William Cabral Lugo (Nemeneme) as president of the Santo Domingo Basketball Association (Abasado). The technical direction is in charge of Ramón Ceballos and Maikel Rodríguez.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Sports and its minister Kelvin Cruz, as well as the company Seaboard “Clean Energy” and its Social Responsibility manager, Fernando Geraldino.

The tournament continues on Friday with a match between the Trains and the Walkers, at 8:00 PM, at the sports center of Crom in Villa Mella, in Santo Domingo Norte.
