Santo Domingo Oeste was the setting for a vibrant children’s baseball tournament organized by the Calcaño Baseball League, an event that brought together young prospects between 9 and 11 years old. The main objective was clear: to promote sports, instill discipline, and promote healthy coexistence among the participants. The event took place at the play area of Manzana 26 in the Las Caobas sector, where the community came out to support the young athletes. This tournament, part of the Torneo Oeste Prospect Kids, featured the participation of eight teams representing various local leagues. Among them, the Delio Peña, Estrella de Las Caobas, Caí Palma, Indio de Las Palmas, Chadal, Los Monteros, and Los Callaos leagues stood out, thus consolidating a space for social integration and sports development for children.

The tournament was dedicated to the political leader Robert Polanco, in recognition of his support for children’s baseball.
