BTS and MLB: A Musical Fusion for the 2026 Season

The South Korean group BTS joins Major League Baseball (MLB) to provide the music for the opening week of the 2026 season. This special collaboration promises to merge K-pop with the king of sports, generating anticipation among fans of both disciplines. The association between BTS and MLB will materialize through several promotional videos that will be broadcast on social media, using songs from the band’s new album, “ARIRANG”. The first promotional video, which has already been released, includes the song “FYA”, one of the most energetic songs on the album, accompanied by images of prominent players such as Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto in action. The second video is scheduled to be broadcast on Wednesday, coinciding with the first game of the 2026 season between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants, a match that will be broadcast live on Netflix. The third and final promotional video will be released during the inaugural week, completing the series of audiovisual productions that celebrate this collaboration. This collaboration comes at a key moment for BTS, who recently released their new album and gave a massive concert in Seoul. Currently, members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are in the United States promoting their new production. This initiative is part of MLB’s strategy to connect with a global and young audience, combining the international reach of K-pop with the start of the Major League Baseball season, in an opening week that promises great impact both in sports and music.
