Bryan de la Cruz Crowned MVP and Receives an Impressive Award
The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) held the official presentation of the season’s Most Valuable Player award. The star outfielder for the Toros del Este, Bryan de la Cruz, was recognized with the prestigious trophy that credits him as the most outstanding player of the championship.
In addition to the recognition, De la Cruz was awarded a JAC JS6 2026 model SUV, courtesy of the Viamar dealership. This award symbolizes the player’s effort and dedication throughout the season.
The awards ceremony took place at the Francisco A. Micheli stadium, before the second game of the Final Series. The event was attended by Vitelio Mejía Ortiz, president of LIDOM, accompanied by José Reyes, brand manager of JAC Passengers in the Dominican Republic, and Jorge Sturla, executive vice president of the Toros del Este.
De la Cruz, visibly excited, received the JAC JS6 vehicle, a latest-generation SUV. This vehicle has a 1.5-liter turbo engine, four cylinders, which generates 180 horsepower. It also includes a six-speed DCT transmission, paddle shifters, and a torque of 280 NM, features that make it one of the most modern and powerful SUVs in its class.
LIDOM highlighted De la Cruz’s exceptional performance throughout the season, and thanked Viamar and JAC Pasajeros for their continued support of Dominican professional baseball and the awards that celebrate the excellence of its players.Absolute Domain in the Voting
Bryan de la Cruz dominated the voting for the Most Valuable Player award, accumulating a total of 431 points. This result was the product of 57 first-place votes, six second-place votes, two third-place votes, and one fourth-place vote, demonstrating a clear superiority over the rest of the candidates.
