Santo Domingo – Banco BHD continues to demonstrate its firm commitment to Dominican baseball, sponsoring the national team in the upcoming 2026 World Baseball Classic. Executives and clients of the financial institution enjoyed a unique experience during the Dominican team’s games at loanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. More than 200 clients and related parties of the bank shared with the executives, thus strengthening the ties between the institution and its followers. This initiative adds to the long history of more than two decades of support from Banco BHD to Major League Baseball, consolidating its commitment to the king sport of the Dominican Republic.
Recently, Banco BHD launched the campaign “Classic of Us”, an initiative that seeks to connect sports with national pride and the sense of belonging of Dominicans, highlighting baseball as a key cultural symbol. Important figures from Banco BHD were present at the event, including Josefina González, Executive Vice President of Retail and Business Banking; Adrián Guzmán, Senior Vice President of Branch Network; Josefina Navarro, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility; and Fernando Marrqnzini, Vice President of Mass Consumption and Commerce of Corporate and Business Banking, among other executives. In 2008, Banco BHD formalized its relationship with Major League Baseball, becoming the Official Bank of the Major Leagues in the Dominican Republic.“Elevating the values of Dominicans and our culture is a way to promote human success and the well-being of our people wherever they may be.
