Santo Domingo. – The Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana has confirmed its support for the National Basketball League (LNB) for the 2026 season, which will begin on Tuesday, April 14. This action reinforces the entity’s commitment to sports development and the promotion of national talent. The LNB and Banreservas, official sponsor of the first division circuit and a key strategic ally for Dominican sports, reaffirm their commitment to a season that promises high competition and great emotions. Engineer Alieska Díaz, Senior Executive Vice President of Administration of Banreservas, representing Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of the bank, highlighted that this support is part of the institution’s social responsibility policy, focused on promoting the country’s sports development.
Díaz added that Banreservas has maintained constant support for various disciplines, contributing significantly to the growth of sports in the nation. For his part, the president of the National Basketball League, Antonio Mir, announced the incorporation of the Los Héroes de Moca franchise for this edition of the tournament, which will increase the competitive value for the enjoyment of the fans. “This is our season number 20 and 12 of them have been with Banco de Reservas. Thank you for the support, because without you this would not have been possible,” expressed Mir. Mir thanked Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, executive president of the bank, and assured that this alliance strengthens a sports project that connects with fans, promotes local talent, and positions Dominican basketball on a stage of greater competitiveness and international projection. For the 2026 season, which begins on Tuesday, April 14, the participating teams will be: Metros de Santiago, Leones de Santo Domingo, Titanes del Sur, Reales de La Vega, Cañeros del Este, Indios de San Francisco de Macorís, Marineros de Puerto Plata, Soles del Este and Los Héroes de Moca.
