The commissioner of the National Football League (NFL), Roger Goodell, has expressed his confidence in the Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, assuring that the singer is aware of the unifying impact of the Super Bowl.

He understands that the Super Bowl platform serves to unite people with their creativity and talent and that he must take advantage of this moment to achieve it. Bad Bunny understands this and I think he will have a great performance.

Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner
Goodell made these statements during a press conference prior to Super Bowl LX, an event where Bad Bunny will lead the halftime show. The sporting event will take place next Sunday, pitting the New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Bad Bunny’s selection for this prestigious event comes after his successful participation in the Grammy Awards, where the artist won three awards, including Album of the Year for his work ‘DeBí TiRAR Más FOToS’. This achievement made him the first artist in the history of the awards, with 68 years of experience, to obtain this recognition with an album entirely in Spanish. Goodell highlighted that this triumph at the Grammys validates the decision to select Bad Bunny for the NFL show.

Bad Bunny is one of the world’s great artists. And that’s one of the reasons he was chosen for this show. I think everyone wants to listen to Bad Bunny.

Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner
The NFL has defended the choice of Bad Bunny for the halftime show, even in the face of criticism from former US President Donald Trump. Regarding security for the event, Goodell stated that the usual protocols will be maintained, with no significant changes despite the artist’s presence.

Security is obviously one of the things we focus on the most, but I don’t see any change in the preparations for the Super Bowl compared to others.
