Azua Takes a Step Forward with New Sports Facilities

The Dominican government inaugurated a modern multipurpose facility in Tábara Abajo, Azua, this Wednesday, marking the beginning of an ambitious project to promote sports and recreation in the province. The inaugural event was attended by the Minister of Sports, Ing. Kelvin Cruz, along with the provincial governor, Licda. María Minerva Navarro, and other local authorities. The event was held under the slogan “It’s the time for the south and Azua is present, Azua is in fashion”, highlighting the commitment to the development of the region.

Governor Navarro emphasized the relevance of these works for the growth and well-being of young people, urging the community to value and utilize these new spaces. The initiative seeks to provide the youth of Azua with modern places for sports development and recreation. In addition to the inauguration in Tábara Abajo, the construction of six additional multipurpose facilities in different municipalities of Azua was announced. This expansion underscores the province’s commitment to the promotion of sports and social development.
