Atlanta, Georgia – The Atlanta Braves, hit by injuries in the 2025 Major League Baseball season, bolster their pitching staff with the arrival of Carlos Carrasco. The veteran Venezuelan right-hander, coming from the New York Yankees, arrives in exchange for a sum of money. Carrasco, 38 years old, was assigned by the Yankees in June and sent to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he improved his performance, leaving an ERA of 3.27 in 11 appearances (10 starts). In the Majors, he recorded an ERA of 5.91 in eight games (six as a starter) this season. This move comes one day after Atlanta incorporated right-hander Erick Fedde from the Cardinals, also for cash. The Braves’ management seeks to stabilize a rotation affected by injuries to their starters. The five Opening Day starters are currently on the injured list.
