Alcaraz Advances with Authority at the Australian Open

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, currently number one in the world, demonstrated his superiority on the court this Friday, securing his place in the round of 16 of the Australian Open after defeating Frenchman Corentin Moutet. Alcaraz, with a solid and dominant game, won with partials of 6-2, 6-4 and 6-1, consolidating his position in the tournament. The match, although with moments of tension, reflected the clear advantage of the Spaniard, who seeks to add this title to his impressive record. The only moment of difficulty for Alcaraz came in the second set, when Moutet managed to break his serve and get closer on the scoreboard. However, the Spaniard reacted with determination, securing the set and regaining control of the match.

Alcaraz seeks to conquer the only Grand Slam missing from his record.

In the next phase, Alcaraz will face the American Tommy Paul. Paul advanced automatically due to the withdrawal of the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich, who suffered physical discomfort. Davidovich was forced to abandon the match in the third round due to a left thigh injury.
