Los Angeles, California – NBA star basketball player Al Horford expressed his gratitude to President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, for the construction of the multipurpose roof “La Tribu de Quisqueya” in La Romana.
Horford, who was recognized with the Order of Duarte, Sánchez and Mella in the Knight’s Degree for his outstanding sports career, could not attend the inauguration due to commitments with his team in the NBA. The basketball player also highlighted the support of the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, in the completion of the work.President Luis Abinader, thank you very much for being so attentive to the sports development in our country and for promoting the progress of the youth. Thank you for that roof you gave us in La Romana, there in the Quisqueya neighborhood; that is something that will be very special for the community and for the development of many young people.

The construction of the roof, with an investment of RD$62,376,547.54, is number 40 delivered during Kelvin Cruz’s management at the head of the Ministry of Sports. This work, requested by Horford from President Abinader, provides the community with a quality recreational space.
