Águilas Cibaeñas Begin Their Optional Early Camp
The Águilas Cibaeñas have announced the beginning of their optional Early Camp, marking the start of their preparation for the 2025-2026 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM). The camp, which will begin on Monday, September 15th at the Cibao Stadium, will serve as a starting point for the players to begin working on their fitness. This Early Camp is voluntary, allowing players to arrive in optimal condition for official training. The complete Águilas Camp is expected to begin on September 22, the date on which the integration of all available players in the country is planned.The training sessions will be led by the coaching staff headed by manager Luis “Pipe” Urueta, who will join the team once he concludes his commitments with the Texas Rangers in the Major Leagues. The Águilas Cibaeñas, with 22 national titles, are preparing for the tournament dedicated to Juan Marichal, which will begin on October 15, with the aim of obtaining their number 23 crown. The organization maintains several active players in Major League Baseball, minor leagues, the Mexican Baseball League, and the Japan League. Management, headed by René Francisco and General Manager Gian Guzmán, continues to work on the roster and the hiring of reinforcements for the next season.The start of these training sessions marks the first steps in the preparation of our team for the 2025-2026 season.
