Cibao Eagles defeat the Toros del Este in a close match
La Romana – In an exciting match of the semifinal series of the LIDOM 2025-26 tournament, the Águilas Cibaeñas achieved an important 3-1 victory over the Toros del Este at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium. The timely offense of Cristhian Adames and Ángel Genao, along with effective relief pitching, were key to the Águilas’ triumph.
After allowing a run in the first inning, the Eagles’ pitching staff held firm, preventing the Bulls from scoring again. Adames drove in the team’s first run in the first inning, while Genao secured the definitive lead with a hit in the seventh.
Jeurys Familia took care of the closing, and despite facing a situation with the bases loaded and two outs, he managed to dominate Eloy Jiménez with a fly ball to left field, obtaining his first save of the Round Robin.
