Resounding Success at the Adozona Business & Golf Weekend 2025 in Punta Cana

Punta Cana, RD – The Adozona Business & Golf Weekend 2025, an event that brought together more than 360 players, concluded with great success at the prestigious Corales de Puntacana Resort & Club. This event, organized by the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona), was consolidated as a key meeting point for leaders of the productive sector, promoting economic and social development. The event stood out for its high-level social agenda and the participation of the country’s leading brands, consolidating its position as a national benchmark.

The competition, played under the scramble format in pairs, crowned Freddy Almonte and Michael Cuello as overall champions, who achieved a gross score of 65 strokes. Michael Cuello stood out with a hole-in-one on the 9th hole of the course, executed with a 9 iron from 156 yards. The category winners were:
  • Category A: César Rodríguez and Freddy Rodríguez – 66 strokes
  • Category B: José Clase and Pantaleón Salcedo – 70 strokes
  • Category C: Joel Miqueo and Manuel Rivas – 68 strokes
  • Women’s Category: Katherine Méndez and Josefina Pichardo – 75.9 strokes
In addition to the sporting and business aspect, the Adozona Business & Golf Weekend reinforced its social commitment, allocating resources to community initiatives that benefit vulnerable populations. The social agenda included a Welcome Party, the traditional Adozona Cigar Night, and an awards dinner enlivened by Manny Cruz, who provided the festive touch. The event was supported by Banco BHD and Mastercard as main sponsors, as well as DP World, Punta Cana Free Trade Zone, AFP Siembra, Mapfre, PIISA Industrial Park, Ron Bermúdez, INFOTEP, Procigar and more than 80 companies.
