Santiago – The stellar starting pitcher of the Águilas Cibaeñas, Aderlin Rodríguez, has been called up once again by the Toros de Tijuana. The Dominican player is preparing to participate in the 2026 season of the Mexican Baseball League, after demonstrating an outstanding performance in the previous campaign. Rodríguez arrives at this new opportunity after a standout summer season with the border team. He established himself as one of the most consistent and productive hitters in the Aztec circuit. In 89 games played, the player took 375 official turns, managing to connect 126 hits, which gave him a batting average of .336, placing him among the best in the tournament. His power with the bat was crucial, connecting 35 home runs, leading the home run department. In addition, he drove in 96 runs and scored 80, with a record of 16 walks and 75 strikeouts. His on-base percentage (OBP) was .369, with a slugging of .696 and an impressive OPS of 1.065. The Tijuana Toros will begin their preseason on March 9, under the direction of the experienced Panamanian manager Roberto Kelly.
