Carlos Adames Will Defend His World Title in Orlando

Dominican world champion Carlos Adames, known as “El Caballo Bronco”, is preparing to defend his middleweight (160 pounds) title sanctioned by the World Boxing Council. The match will take place on March 21st at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, against American Austin Williams. This fight, scheduled for 12 rounds, will be the main event of a card that will be broadcast live worldwide on the DAZN platform. Originally, Adames and Williams were scheduled to face each other on January 31 at Madison Square Garden, but the fight was canceled due to health problems that affected the Dominican champion. This will be Adames’ third defense as a regular WBC monarch, a title he obtained on October 8, 2022, by knocking out Mexican Juan Macías Montiel in the third round. Since then, “El Caballo Bronco” has defended his title on four occasions, including one as interim champion against the American Julian Williams, whom he defeated by knockout. As a regular champion, he defeated Terrell Gausha by unanimous decision and then drew in Saudi Arabia with the British Hamzah Sheeraz, in a fight that generated controversy.

Life does not repeat opportunities. If you escaped once, consider it a miracle. Fate forgives once; then it charges. Not everyone receives two warnings. He already used one. Danger will arrive in Orlando on March 21st.
