Licey Prevails Over Gigantes in an Exciting Game with Adames’ Single

SANTO DOMINGO – In a game full of drama, the Tigres del Licey achieved a crucial 4-3 victory over the Gigantes del Cibao this Tuesday at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium. The game, corresponding to the 2025-26 Winter Baseball Tournament, was decided with a decisive single by Cristhian Adames with the bases loaded in the ninth inning. Adames’ hit, a key figure in the match, left the Giants on the field and ended an intense battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Adames finished the day with an outstanding offensive performance, batting 4-3 with three RBIs. Another crucial moment of the game occurred in the eighth inning, when Emilio Bonifacio made a spectacular throw from right field to put out at the plate José Torre, who was trying to score from third base after a fly ball by Leury García. This vital play preserved the tie and allowed Licey to reach the ninth inning with the opportunity to win.
