Acuña Jr. Receives Good News After Being Hit

United States. The Atlanta Braves received positive news after their 9-4 victory over the Washington Nationals: the X-rays taken on Ronald Acuña Jr. were negative after he was hit on the right hand.

The prominent Venezuelan player left the game in the sixth inning after being hit by a pitch from starting pitcher Jake Irvin. His physical condition has been classified as “day-to-day”, which reduces the initial concern in the Atlanta team.

Acuña had already been hit previously on his left arm protector in the fourth inning, before the hit on the hand that caused him to leave the game. He was replaced in right field by Eli White.

Despite the scare, the Braves maintained their excellent collective performance and extended their winning streak to six, solidifying themselves as the team with the most wins in Major League Baseball so far this season.

The game changed in the sixth inning, when Atlanta scored five runs. Drake Baldwin hit a two-run double that gave them the lead, while Michael Harris II added a run-scoring single to extend the lead.

Harris continues to be in great form with the bat, showing an average of 11 hits in 26 at-bats, with three home runs in his last eight games.

Previously, Matt Olson had tied the score with a two-run homer in the fourth inning, his sixth of the season. The first baseman maintains an impressive record at Nationals Park, where he has hit 13 home runs in just 30 games.

For the Nationals, Daylen Lile had momentarily put his team ahead with a home run at the beginning of the fourth inning.

The encounter also had moments of tension when both teams received warnings after a pitch by starting pitcher Bryce Elder on CJ Abrams, who later scored a run.

With their offense in great form and despite a rotation affected by injuries, Atlanta continues to demonstrate arguments for being considered one of the strongest teams of the season.
