The loss went to Steve Moyers (0-1), who, despite his effort, allowed the only run of the game in five innings. Moyers gave up two hits, one walk, and struck out four. The Licey bullpen also played a crucial role, with Misael Tamárez in the seventh, Anderson Severino in the eighth, and Jean Carlos Mejía closing the ninth without problems to secure the save.
