This project is the result of a phone conversation that Towns Cruz had with President Abinader in January of this year, where he expressed his desire to collaborate with Dominican youth through the Ministry of Sports. The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, expressed his pride in the support provided to this project, highlighting the importance of having a figure like Karl-Anthony Towns, a Dominican pride, involved in initiatives for youth development. Go Ministries, an international entity, is dedicated to working with children and young people from low-income backgrounds, with the aim of training local leaders. The initiative is supported by Grupo Estrella.“It’s going to be a real arena and a beautiful design in which all the young people of Tamboril (where my father was born) will be able to enjoy through Go Ministries, and not only from the whole region, but tournaments and other activities can also be held”, declared President Luis Abinader.
