Abasapema Reports and Reveals Action Plan for 2026
San Pedro de Macorís – The Basketball Association of San Pedro de Macorís (Abasapema) held its annual accountability assembly, presenting the 2025 financial report and detailing the program of activities for 2026.
The event was held in the conference hall of the Petromacorisano Baseball Museum, with the presence of Fausto Paulino, president of the entity, and the members of the Executive Committee 2025-2027.
Paulino welcomed the affiliated clubs, highlighting the achievements and challenges of his management.

Engineer Matías Sosa reported on the renovation of the Rolando Ramírez sports center, located in the Tomasito Binet Sports Complex, a project that required an investment of almost 17 million pesos.
Financial Report Details
Carlos Dijol, treasurer, presented the 2025 financial report, explaining the income and allocation of resources for the tournaments organized during the year. The board reiterated its commitment to transparency and the strengthening of basketball in the province.
Sports Calendar 2026
The 2026 competitive calendar will begin in March with the U22 tournament, in both the men’s and women’s divisions. An introductory course for coaches will be offered, as well as a talk with Rafael Uribe, president of the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), and Professor Fernando Teruel.
The program will continue in April with the U17 tournament, in May with the U15, and in June with the benjamin and minibasket competitions. Support will be provided to the Cocolos de San Pedro in the U22 National Development League and the Interbarrial Tournament.
In August, the traditional Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS) San Pedro de Macorís 2026 will take place, with the participation of the usual six teams: Correcaminos de Quisqueya, Todos Estrellas de Consuelo, Centro, Titanes de Miramar, Warriors de México and Retiro 23.
The calendar will conclude with the U25 inter-municipal tournament in October and the National Minibasket Convivio in November.
Ring Delivery to the Champions
During the assembly, Abasapema presented the TBS SPM 2025 champion rings to the Todos Estrellas de Consuelo team. Players, coaches, and managers received the distinction in an event led by the association’s board and representatives from the company Carlos Robles Placas y Trofeos SRL.
With this day, Abasapema reaffirms its commitment to the development of basketball in San Pedro de Macorís, strengthening the formative base and the superior competitions.
