This tour, which will cover nine Mexican cities, aims to bring the emblematic trophy closer to fervent football fans. The presentation was held under strict security measures, a reflection of recent events. The event was attended by members of the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the state police, who ensured surveillance both inside the venue and in the areas surrounding the stadium. With 103 days to go until the start of the World Cup, authorities and organizers reiterated a message of reassurance to local fans and the millions of visitors expected to arrive in the country during the competition.

The Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, emphasized that Mexico is prepared to host the tournament with security and hospitality, anticipating the arrival of approximately 5.5 million visitors in the venues of Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City. The ceremony featured the participation of prominent figures from international football, including former Mexican striker Hugo Sánchez, a Real Madrid legend, and Brazilian Roque Júnior, world champion in 2002. Local authorities highlighted Guadalajara’s aspiration to establish itself as a main venue for the tournament. The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, assured that the city is ready to host the event and offer an unforgettable sporting experience. The trophy exhibition in Guadalajara will extend until March 2, before continuing its tour through León, Veracruz, Chihuahua, Querétaro, Monterrey, Puebla, Mérida and ending in Mexico City in June. The 2026 World Cup, the most extensive in football history, will mark a milestone by being jointly organized by three countries: Mexico, United States, and Canada.
