Ukraine intensifies attacks on Russia’s military and energy infrastructure
In a day marked by the escalation of the conflict, Ukraine has confirmed a series of strategic operations against key facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex. According to reports from Alofoke Deportes, the actions focused on dismantling weapons production capabilities and energy supplies vital for war operations in Russian territory.
Strike on the Kámenski complex in Rostov
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported an attack carried out during the early hours against the Kamensky complex, located in the Rostov region. This plant is fundamental to the Russian war machine, as it specializes in the manufacturing of solid rocket fuel. These supplies are essential for the operation of multiple launch systems such as the Uragan, Smerch, and Tornado-S, as well as various missiles and aerial attack assets.
The products of this company are used directly to satisfy the operational needs of the Russian Armed Forces on the battlefront.
For their part, Russian regional authorities, led by Governor Yuri Sliusar, confirmed significant damage to infrastructure and factories, also reporting the death of five civilians as a result of drone and missile impacts in the area.
Paralysis of strategic petrochemical complexes
The Ukrainian offensive also extended to the petrochemical sector, vital for the Russian economy and military sustenance. Among the notable actions are:
- ZapSibNefteKhim complex in Tobolsk: Following an attack on its gas fractionation unit, the operation of this petrochemical giant, responsible for producing essential polymers, is paralyzed.
- Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in Orenburg: Key facilities including hydrocracking and primary distillation units were targeted by attacks on the 11th of this month. This plant is a driver in the production of gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, indispensable resources for the armed forces.
With these actions, Ukraine seeks to directly impact the Russian Armed Forces’ supply chain, affecting both the production of long-range ammunition and the fuel supply necessary to sustain their air and ground attack capabilities.
